The Youngest Son

It is a summer day in 1992 in Bologna. The marriage of Luciano Baietti and Fiamma, already the parents of two young children, is hastily concluded. There is barely time for a toast with paper cups, after which the groom leaves with a stranger and a handful of documents by which the bride has conceded ownership of some properties. Living high far from his family, Luciano, with the help of his accountant, creates a real estate empire with himself as president. As years go by the prosperity of his investment is put at risk by the same suspicious dealings that supported its success previously. To prevent the failure of his real estate enterprise, he passes the buck to his naïve youngest son, Baldo, who has not yet discovered his father's true nature. Luciano is able to put his plan into action but the plot ultimately fails, forcing Baldo to open his eyes and Luciano to face up to his errors.
